Reducing C02 by Planting trees
Vermintide 2 brings back all your favourite characters for this sequel, letting us jump straight into the comfy boots of the first game’s five heroes. It will initially be familiar to anyone who played the first game, but you will be able to step out of your comfort zone after a short while.
Once you have played for a bit, you will have the option to deviate from each hero’s default class, you see. Careers are a new addition to Vermintide 2 and will let us specialise all five character down three different trees. Here is what is available for each:
As the Witch Hunter Captain, Saltzpyre can use an array of deadly weapons. He has also mastered footwork, allowing him to deftly dash during battle.
The Bounty Hunter is a master with ranged weapons. He also dons heavy armour to protect him from ranged attacks. Sacrifice the finesse of the Witch Hunter Captain for more brute force.
The Zealot career path puts Saltzpyre in light armour, instead shielding him from attacks with his faith alone. He can take a surprising amount of damage in this form, and he favours melee weapons such as maces and flails.
The Pyromancer can cause massive damage with her fire spells, but she is most efficient at taking out single targets. Best used for prioritising the biggest bad guys.
The Battle Wizard is adept with area of effect spells which are ideal for turning hordes into piles of ash.
Unchained turns Sienna into a fiery melee expert with flaming weapons and armour that detonates to protect her against enemy attacks.
As the Ironbreaker, Bardin is best used right on the frontlines. Put him at the head of your force in a corridor and he becomes an unstoppable wall of steel to keep the enemies at bay.
Skilled with a crossbow, the Ranger Veteran can pick enemies off from a distance at the cost of defense.
The Slayer is a whirlwind of melee death. His attack power in this form is unrivalled, but it prohibits him from using ranged weapons at all.
Fast and deadly, the Waystalker is a nimble class that is formidable with a bow and daggers.
A true assassin archetype, this career allows Kerillian to move faster and more agile than anything else. She likes to come in from unexpected angles, hit hard, then get out again.
An adept melee fighter, the Handmaiden favours spears to do damage to her enemies from a medium range.
Armed with devastating firearms, the Huntsman prefers to deal death from range.
A frontline melee fighter donned in shining armour, the Foot Knight can dish out damage and take his fair share.
A more balanced option, the Mercenary uses light armour and can hurt the enemy either close up or at range.
